Day 2: Transfer to Rubavu (Gisenyi)

Day 3: Hike from Rubavu to Cyimbiri

After breakfast, begin your first section of the Congo Nile Trail from Rubona, just south of Rubavu. The trail winds through picturesque farming communities, coffee plantations, and lush hillsides overlooking Lake Kivu.

Along the way, visit local community projects where you’ll experience traditional pottery, coffee processing, music performances, and tea farming. The day’s hike offers spectacular lake views and excellent opportunities to interact with friendly local communities.

Day 5: Hike from Kinunu to Bumba
