Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Welcome to Rwanda

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your private driver-guide and transferred to your luxury hotel in Kigali. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a guided Kigali city tour, visiting highlights such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local art galleries, and vibrant craft markets for an introduction to Rwanda’s rich history and culture.

In the evening, enjoy a romantic dinner at one of Kigali’s finest restaurants before retiring to your hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, depart Kigali for the scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, a journey of approximately 2½ hours through Rwanda’s picturesque countryside. Along the way, admire rolling green hills, traditional villages, and breathtaking views that have earned Rwanda the nickname “The Land of a Thousand Hills.”

Upon arrival, check in to your luxury lodge overlooking the Virunga Volcanoes. Spend the afternoon relaxing, enjoying the lodge’s facilities, or taking a leisurely nature walk around the property.

As evening falls, savor a romantic dinner while enjoying spectacular mountain views.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Adventure

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Kinigi Park Headquarters for a briefing by experienced park rangers before beginning your unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure.

Guided through the misty rainforest, you’ll search for one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. The trek may last between 2 and 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location, but the reward is extraordinary. Once you find the gorillas, you’ll spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat—a truly unforgettable wildlife experience.

After returning from the trek, head back to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Couples may choose to enjoy an optional spa treatment or simply unwind while taking in the stunning volcanic scenery.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking & Cultural Experience

After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch before visiting the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village (Gorilla Guardians Village). Here you’ll experience traditional Rwandan music, dance, storytelling, and local customs while learning about the communities living around the park and their role in wildlife conservation.

Return to your lodge for a relaxing evening and another romantic dinner overlooking the Virunga Mountains.

Day 5: Return to Kigali & Departure
