Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi, Kenya – Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide who will brief you about your adventure before beginning the journey to Masai Mara National Reserve.

The drive takes you through Kenya’s beautiful countryside, including the scenic Great Rift Valley viewpoint where you can enjoy panoramic views of one of the world’s most remarkable geological features. Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day exploration of Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife destination. The Mara is famous for its incredible concentration of wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and the annual Great Wildebeest Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras cross the plains in search of fresh grazing areas.

As the sun rises above the savannah, float silently above the endless plains while observing wildlife moving below. Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Today is the highlight of your Rwanda adventure as you embark on a once-in-a-lifetime mountain gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park.

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for registration and briefing by Rwanda Development Board guides. You will then begin your trek through the ancient bamboo forests and mist-covered slopes of the Virunga Mountains.

The trek may take several hours depending on the location of the gorilla family. Along the way, enjoy the forest scenery and look out for birds, primates, and other wildlife.

Once you locate the gorilla family, you will spend up to one hour observing these incredible creatures as they feed, play, and interact within their natural habitat. Watching a powerful silverback, caring mothers, and playful young gorillas is a deeply memorable wildlife experience.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Optional afternoon activities may include visiting the Dian Fossey Memorial Site or exploring nearby cultural attractions.
